Information Systems & Modelling
Information systems, forecasting, simulation modelling, data mining, knowledge management, social networking -- managing information is one of the biggest challenges facing managers today.
Not only is there more information available (e.g., from company networks to the world-wide web). There are also more and more sophisticated tools for collecting it, storing it, analysing it, and deploying it. Information and communication technology (ICT) has created huge opportunities for organizations to manage information about themselves and the environments in which they "do business".
Tim Cartwright & Associates has been designing and developing desktop information systems since 1970, including basic databases, management information systems, financial information systems, geographic information systems, decision-support systems, knowledge management systems, and other applications. We have expertise in relation to spreadsheets, databases, content management systems, multimedia, and simulation modelling. We even do our own website!
We also advise organizations on the indirect impacts of information and communication technology (ICT), including implementation of policies aimed at creating learning organizations, enhancing intellectual capital, promoting knowledge sharing, and capitalizing on trends in social networking and communication.
