Once again, our website has acquired a new look. Nothing wrong with the old one, but it is always fun to create a "new look". Besides the technology and the functionality just keep improving. So we cannot resist the challenge. This website is the 8th incarnation since 2005.

Development Scorecard

Version 2 of our highly acclaimed Development Scorecard has just been released.  The Development Scorecard is a dashboard-type status report on programme/project implementation.  Using indicators, the Scorecard tracks overall objectives, immediate objectives, outputs, and activities.  The Scorecard also measures progress in relation to inputs, assesses performance using the OECD/DAC criteria, and monitors project assumptions and risk.

The Nicest Things

Sometimes people say the nicest things!  About fifteen years ago, Tim Cartwright wrote a book on how to use a spreadsheet to run simulation models of social and environmental processes.  The book was called Modeling the World in a Spreadsheet (Johns Hopkins University Press).  Apparently, people are still reading the book, and one of them was moved to post a very kind review on Amazon.

Website Update

The website has a new look for 2009 -- cleaner, brighter, simpler.  New content has been added.  Navigation is easier.  There is added functionality.  There have been big changes "beneath the surface", too:  we have switched from Mambo to Joomla.  Please let us know what you think of it!

Capacity Building in Benin

Tim Cartwright & Associates have just completed a mid-term evaluation of a programme to strengthen the capacities of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries in Benin.  The programme was seen as a stepping-stone in the evolution of project-based collaboration towards budgetary support.
